Bard College student-athlete Felicia Flores has been re-signed by the Hudson Valley Crusaders of United Women's Soccer League Two.

Flores was a member of the semi-professional team last summer, which was the inaugural season for the Crusaders, and they are happy to have her back.

"We at the Hudson Valley Crusaders are excited for the potential impact that Felicia can bring back to us this season," HVC head coach Chuck Wilder said. "She is a dynamic and crafty midfielder who I believe will bring a load of excitement for the community on game days."

Flores have been an All-Liberty League Honorable Mention selection twice and has made the Liberty League All-Academic Team is every year eligible. First years aren't eligible.

"The Hudson Valley Crusaders are on a mission that speaks to me," Flores said. "They aim to help close the gap of opportunities for women versus men soccer players in the Hudson Valley. I was proud to be signed to their historic first squad last season and, having been re-signed, I look forward to what more talent we can showcase that the women players in the Hudson Valley possess. We showed up last season despite major barriers such as jobs, parenthood, and more. This year, I expect it will be no easier, but I look forward to being once again surrounded by women that make it happen regardless."

The Crusaders are having another tryout coming up on Apr. 16 in Saugerties.

"We're excited that there's a local, competitive opportunity for our student-athlete to compete against other college players," Bard head coach Kate Hofstede said. "Working with other college coaches, Felicia will continue her development not only in soccer knowledge but also in fitness. I have no doubt she'll be an integral part of the Crusaders' success this summer."
