ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team defeated Skidmore College, 72-59, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.
Bard was up eight at halftime, the lead ballooned to 20 halfway through the second half, and the Raptors held off a late Skidmore charge to prevail.
"Even when we were losing those tough ones on the road, we were seeing signs of growth," Bard coach
Michael Lenahan said. "It was great tonight to see that growth result in a win."
Tyler Bruns match his career high with 21 points, while
Stam Koulouris had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Azriel Almodovar was a menace, putting up eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd and we really appreciate them coming out to support us," Lenahan said. "Stam had a great start to Senior Weekend with a double-double, and
Heston Tucker and
Henry Meyers gave us great energy off the bench."
Bard hosts its final home game of the 2021-22 season on Saturday, when Hobart visits. It'll be Senior Day for Koulouris.
