2023-24: Appeared in 26 games, starting 24…averaged 27.0 minutes per game…scored 161 points (6.2 per game) with a field goal percentage of .405…made 60 of 148 shots and 3 of 16 three-point attempts…shot 76.0% from the free-throw line, converting 38 of 50 attempts…grabbed 160 rebounds (6.2 per game), including 31 offensive boards…dished out 38 assists, recorded 55 steals (2.1 per game), and blocked 5 shots…played 40 minutes, grabbing 14 boards and scoring 14 points in a 102-97 overtime win at Ithaca…recorded a steal in all but two games, accumulating multiple steals in 16 games…made the Liberty League All-Academic Team, the CSC Academic All-District Team, and NABC Honors Court…part of the team that was named NABC Team Academic Excellence awards.
2022-23: Started in all 25 games for the Raptors…totaled 159 points, 127 rebounds, and 52 assists…finished fifth on the team in scoring, averaging 6.4 per game…led the team in free-throw percentage (75%), steals (1.6), assist (2.1) and rebounds (5.1)....ranked 4th in the Liberty League in steals with 43 and 12th in rebounding…posted double-digit points in five games, including a season-high 17 points against Vassar…had four or more steals in three games, including tying his career-high of five steals against Mt. St. Mary (NY)...dished a career-high seven assists against St. Lawrence…shot 35 percent from the floor, 24 percent from beyond the arc and 75 percent from the free-throw line…hauled in at least five rebounds or more in 11 games, including a career-high 15 rebounds against Clarkson…made the Liberty League All-Academic Team and NABC Honors Court…part of the team that was named NABC Team Academic Excellence awards.
2021-22: Azriel had a major impact in his first college season, playing in all 25 games for the Raptors as a sophomore, and starting 24 of them ... he had a career-high 19 points at NVU-Lyndon, and few days later was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week ... a defensive stopper, Almodovar led Bard in assists and steals and was among the league leaders in steals ... he had five steals at home against St. Lawrence and Vassar, and four against Skidmore ... made the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
2020-21: The season was lost to the COVID-19 pandemic.
High School: 1,000-point scorer, all-time assist leader, all-time points leader, 4.0 GPA, Principal's Honor Roll.
