ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team defeated Clarkson University, 81-72, in a Liberty League game on Tuesday night.
Bard never trailed, and the victory avenged a 27-point loss to Clarkson in Potsdam just four days ago.
"That was a big win for us tonight," Bard coach
Michael Lenahan said. "We didn't shoot the ball well, but managed to win with defense, rebounding and togetherness."
Stam Koulouris led Bard with 14 points and 12 rebounds, and four other players scored in double figures.
Greg Farrow had 14 points,
Elliot Harris had 11,
Kevin Le had 10 and
Cory Dennis added 10 off the bench.
Lazaros Panagiotounis added seven points and a team-high five assists, and
Mike Parme hit a pair of triples off the bench.
Azriel Almodovar was a key defender all night and finished with seven points and three assists.
"Stam and Kevin played great from the high post against their zone," Lenahan said. "And Cory continues to give us a burst of energy. Now we have two tough ones this weekend at Vassar and Union."
Bard will play at Vassar on Friday, and at Union on Saturday.
