Bard College senior women's soccer player
Felicia Flores has been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), meaning her name is now on the national ballot for Academic All-America honors.
The two-time All-Liberty League Honorable Mention midfielder was one of Bard's Scholar-Athletes of the Year in 2021-22, and her 3.93 grade point average with a double major (Mathematics, Studio Art) will likely put her in contention for that award again.
"Felicia is a tremendous competitor in so many aspects of college life," Bard coach
Kate Hofstede said. "It is no surprise that her efforts have consistently brought her recognition as a student-athlete, both on and off the field. She has truly set a precedent for years to come, and I have no doubt this recognition will carry into her life after graduation."
The All-District Teams are selected by Athletic Communications specialists and Sports Information Directors around the country in four divisions - NCAA Div. I, II and III, and NAIA, in both genders. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
