Box Score NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost a non-league game to SUNY New Paltz, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
The game was scoreless at halftime.
Seymone Rosenberg made six saves in the first half, and
Madeline Chilton made seven in the second half.
"Despite the stats, the game was fairly even," Bard coach
Kate Hofstede said. "Once we started to trust the plan of what we trained in practice and started committing to each play wholeheartedly, our opportunities in the attack were more apparent. Kudos to the back line for learning how to play an offside trap and deny the attack through the middle of the field."
Bard next opens Liberty League play with a game on Union next Wednesday.
"We have a lot of hard-working individuals but are a young team overall, so there is a big learning curve," Hofstede said. "Our team goals and overall success will be based on collective efforts both with and without the ball."
