TROY, N.Y. - Bard College senior
Felicia Flores and sophomore
Madeline Chilton have earned All-Liberty League Honorable Mention from the league's women's soccer coaches, it was announced Tuesday.
Flores, who was a Second Team pick as a sophomore, moved back to defender this season to fill a need created by an injury. She played all but eight minutes of the season.
"Felicia was an anchor in our starting lineup this fall," Bard coach
Kate Hofstede said. "She played almost every minute of every game because she is reliable, hard working and impactful. Even changing her position due to a lost defender early in the season, Felicia has proven to be a Liberty League student-athlete."
Chilton led Bard in minutes played at goalkeeper, and made the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll after a stellar performance against RIT in late October.
"Madeline has so much raw talent," Hofstede said. "Despite missing her first year due to COVID cancelling the season, she has developed quite quickly to compete in the Liberty League. I have no doubt her goalkeeping will continue to turn heads as she is dedicated to her training and growth. Madeline will continue to be an exemplary model of hard work and passion for the sport which will serve her well moving forward."
