Women's soccer team wraps up season at Skidmore

Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team wrapped up the 2021 season with a 4-0 loss at Skidmore on Saturday.

"It was a tough battle to fight when you drop numbers the day of the game due to injuries and illness," Bard coach Kate Hofstede said. "Skidmore brought a strong attack and it took us some time to manage box play."

Claire Dickson produced a pair of shots on goal and Madeline Chilton made five saves.

"On thing that seems to resonate with us every game is to finish stronger than you start," Hofstede said. "Our back line battled until the last whistle and it showed in their bumps and bruises.

"It's been a challenging season overall, but the returners are excited for the offseason," she continued. "We have a young group of players who are excited to learn and we as coaches are ready to teach. Thank you to the seniors for their years of service to the program. We look forward to seeing them return at Alumni games starting this Spring."
