Women's soccer team edged by Hartwick, 1-0

Sylvia Kool had three shots, but Bard lost to Hartwick, 1-0, on Wednesday night.

Box Score ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team was edged by Hartwick College, 1-0, in a non-league game on Wednesday night.

The game-winner came in the 73rd minute, when junior Kylie Thayer (Ithaca, NY) drilled a free kick in, just under the crossbar, and above keeper Lily Harris.

The Hawks (3-1-2) outshot Bard, 13-6, in the match, but only 7-5 in the second half. Early in the second half, Bard sophomore Gina Lewis hit the post with a shot, but the Raptors (2-3-1) never broke through.

Hartwick had the edge in corner kicks, 8-2.
