RECAP: Women’s Lacrosse drops road game to SCAD-Savannah

The Bard College women's lacrosse team fell to SCAD-Savannah, 20-6, on Monday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Georgia. 

Bard had five different players record either a goal or an assist, including Emerson Embrey who led the team with three points, two goals and an assist. Maya Junkins and Izzi Popolizio each scored a goal with Popolizio adding an assist. Gwendolyn Jamison scored two goals, while Gloria Tucker tallied her first assist of the season. 

Paige Gregg led the team with four ground balls, while Maggy Peyton and Popolizio had two ground balls each. Emily Peck and Morgan Ruhle each caused two turnovers and sophomore goalie Lexie Blackburn had nine saves. 

Bard will be back in conference play on Saturday as the Raptors travel to Clarkson for a 1 p.m. start.
