ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College women's lacrosse team hosted the St. Lawrence Saints for Senior Day on Saturday afternoon as it concluded its 2026 season. The four senior Raptors were recognized:
Lexie Blackburn,
Gwyn Downey,
Ella Perreault, and
Lily Seale.
Blackburn had 14 saves, marking her 11th 10+ save game. She finished her career with 514 saves, only 20 saves away from tying the school record of 534 career saves made by Kaylynn Tran.
Rian Sullivan had a career-high six caused turnovers, while
Eva Hersey and
Carmen Merrick each had two caused turnovers. Sullivan and Blackburn each had five ground balls. Merrick added four, while
Electra Wilmerding had three ground balls.
St. Lawrence set the tone early, scoring five goals in the opening quarter and never looked back. The Saints continued to apply pressure throughout the second half.
The Raptors battled for possession with 20 ground balls and forced multiple turnovers, highlighted by strong efforts from Sullivan and Merrick on the defensive end. Offensively, Bard found limited opportunities against a disciplined Saints defense, managing just two shots on the afternoon.
Despite the result, the Raptors continued to compete through all four quarters, showing grit and determination against one of the conference's stronger squads.
