The Bard College men's cross country team opened the 2023 season at the Vassar Season Opener on Friday evening with a sixth-place finish. 

Sophomore Clemente Esponilla paced the Raptors with a 54th-place finish with a time of 15:02.3. First-years Elijah Flynn and Able Bloodgood were the next two Raptors across the line in their first collegiate meet.

Sophomore Bo Hopwood shaved nearly two minutes off his 4K personal best with a time of 15:33.4. Junior Jack Keelan paced himself and finished 20 seconds off his personal best. 

Bard returns to Vassar on Saturday, September 9, at 10 a.m. for the Vassar Invitational.
