Bard was led by first year
Clemente Esponilla, who finished fourth, and
Oliver Pawelek, who placed eighth.
"Today was a very strong day," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "Everyone ran a personal or lifetime best on a fairly difficult course. Clemente ran the fastest 6K in school history by exactly 60 seconds, running 19:44.5. He has more things to improve on which is exciting for the next four years."
Pawelek ran the second-fastest 6K in school history (20:28.0).
"
Bo Hopwood blazed to a new lifetime best of 25:23 which is 2:22 second faster than two weeks ago," Poole-Harris said. "Last but not least is Graeme Lauterbach running a lifetime best of 24:08.5, which is 1:41 faster than two weeks as well. These men are moving in the right direction."
Up next for Bard is the Purple Valley Classic at Williams on Oct. 1.
