SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost to Skidmore College, 75-63, in a Liberty League game on Tuesday night.
The Raptors cut a 20-point, second-half deficit down to five in the last few minutes, but Skidmore made enough free throws down the stretch to hold Bard off.
"I thought we showed great fight in the second half," Bard coach
Michael Lenahan said, "when we got down big and brought it all the way back to five. We have to learn that it takes 40 minutes of that fight to beat a good team, and we will."
Bard junior
Kevin Le led the Raptors with a career-high 17 points.
Lazaros Panagiotounis added 11 points, and
Greg Farrow finished with 10 points and six rebounds.
"
Ayomikun Akin-Bankole gave us great energy off the bench in the second half," Lenahan added.
Bard's busy schedule takes the squad to North Country this weekend for games at Clarkson (Friday) and St. Lawrence (Saturday.)
