BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Bard College men's cross country team competed at the Paul Short Run, one of the largest collegiate events in the country, at Lehigh University on Friday afternoon.
All Bard runners ran personal bests.
"Everybody definitely turned a corner today," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "Everybody PR'd by about two minutes or better, but
Andres Block-Martinez cut FIVE MINUTES off his personal best. He was five minutes faster than he was at the Pavlich Invitational a couple of weeks ago, and this was a hillier course."
Darrion Thornburgh was Bard's top finisher, followed closely by
Jack Keelan,
Graeme Lauterbach-Mason,
Calvin Janzen-Chappell and
Andres Block-Martinez. They all finished within about two minutes of each other.
"Darrion ran a phenomenal race and he's starting to really put it all together," Poole-Harris said. "Graham ran really well. Everybody was just really amazing today."
Up next for Bard is the Western New England Invitational on Oct. 16.
