SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to Union College, 7-2, in a Liberty League match on Saturday.

Union swept the three doubles matches to start things off, and then a pair of singles matches went to super-tiebreakers. At No. 1, Union's Natalia Pezzuco (Johnston, RI) held off Bard freshman Katie Esposito after they split the first two sets. At No. 2, Bard's Anastasia Kachalova returned the favor, slipping past Megan Brown (Westport, CT) 4-6, 6-3 and 10-6 in the super-tiebreaker.
Union won at Nos. 3, 4 and 5 in straight sets, but Bard senior Isabelle Scarborough defeated Madelyn Girardi (Burnt Hills, NY), 7-5, 6-1.
Union improved to 4-4 overall, 1-2 in Liberty League play. Bard is 3-9, 0-5.
Up next for the Raptors is a non-league match vs. Pratt Institute on Saturday, Apr. 14.
