ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to St. Lawrence University, 9-0, in a Liberty League match on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints, 4-8 overall and 3-0 in the Liberty League, swept the three doubles matches. But the action at No. 1 and 2 singles was tight. Senior Emily Wyman (Naples, FL) held off Bard freshman Katie Esposito at No. 1, 6-4 and 7-6. At No. 2, Bard newcomers Anastasia Kachalova was downed by senior Lia Petersen (Bridgehampton, NY) 2-6, 6-4 and 10-5 in a super-tiebreaker.

Another Bard newcomer, freshman Tori Bowen, won eight games at No. 6 singles but lost to freshman Marie Bank (Pullach, Bavaria) 6-4, 6-4. Bard is 3-8 overall, 0-4 in the Liberty League.

The Raptors will next play at Union College in another Liberty League match on Apr. 7.
