ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the 2017-18 season on Saturday, sweeping Sarah Lawrence College, 9-0, in a non-league match.

The Raptors yielded just five game in taking all three doubles matches. Then Bard took the 1-5 singles matches in straight sets - Katie Esposito, Amelia Tiemann, MacKenzie Wardell, Isabelle Scarborough and Lily Zacharias, in that order. Freshman Beatrix Zhou lost the first set No. 6 and was ahead in the second set before her opponent retired.

The Gryphons are 0-3.

Bard (1-2) next plays on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Lehman College.
