HARTFORD, Conn. - The Bard College men's basketball team lost to Trinity College, 95-64, in a non-league game on Tuesday night.
The Raptors were up, 13-11, after about seven minutes, but the Bantams went on a 19-6 run. Trinity pushed its lead to 15, Bard cut it back to eight, but it was back to 15 by halftime, 45-30.
Trinity hit six three-pointers and scored 17 second-chance points in the first half.
Trinity (5-2) quickly pushed the advantage to 20 early in the second half and Bard was unable to get any closer. The winners got 19 points, four rebounds and six assists from Jeremy Arthur (Westbury, NY). Christian Porydzy (South Glastonbury, CT) added 17 points and five assists.
Bard was led by
David Runcie and
Justyn Rogers, who scored 11 points apiece, and Runcie also shared the team lead with seven rebounds (
Emmanuel Oyakhilome).
Jelani Bell-Isaac contributed 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.
