PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team was defeated by St. Joseph's College, 7-2, in a non-league match on Saturday afternoon.

The doubles team of Isabelle Scarborough and Amelia Tiemann prevailed at No. 2, stopping Rita Wehrli (Medford, NY) and Vicky Penicola (Shirley, NY), 9-7. Tiemann then defeated Kelley McGrath (Nesconset, NY) 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles to provide Bard with it's second point.

That was all the Raptors (0-4) could manage against the Golden Eagles (2-1).

Bard next hosts Plattsburgh State next Saturday at 4.
