ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - For a while there, it looked like the farewell five Bard seniors were going to get on Senior Day for the women's lacrosse team was really going to memorable.

After honoring Neena Marano, Nadine Muniz, Victoria Fleisher, Brianna Bean and Stephanie LaMont before the game, the Raptors jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the University of Rochester - Bard's first lead against any Liberty League opponent this season.

The euphoria of the start didn't last, however, and the Yellowjackets ran away with a 15-5 win, the last game of the 2014 season for both teams.

Fleisher flashed toward goal and scored off an assist from Joanna Regan in the first minute. Less than a minute later, Bean made it 2-0 off an assist from LaMont. Even after Rochester scored three straight to take the lead, Bard tied it at 3-3 on a goal from Lizzy Chemel, who took a feed right in front of the goal from Bean and bounced it home to make it 3-3 with almost 21 minutes left in the first half.

The Yellowjackets scored the last six goals of the first half and the first two goals of the second half to put the game away and finish the season 6-8, 2-7 in the Liberty League. Bridget Hannon (Riverside, IL), Jamie Wallisch (Amherst, NH) and Sarah Skinner (Oswego, NY) had three goals apiece.

Bard (3-12, 0-9) got single goals from Fleisher, Chemel, LaMont, Bean and Regan. Bean, Regan and LaMont each had assists.

LaMont will leave Bard as the leading scorer in program history with 141 goals and 18 assists. Bard started women's lacrosse in the spring of 2010.
