Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Clarkson University women's lacrosse team scored six goals over the final 7:17 of the first half to break open a close game and went on to defeat Bard College, 18-6, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
Stephanie LaMont's third goal of the game cut Clarkson's lead to 5-3 with 13:31 left in the first half. But freshman Paige Fayette (Theresa, NY) and sophomore Christine Wright (Watertown, NY) scored twice each in those final few minutes to give Clarkson an 11-3 halftime lead.
Fayette finished with six goals, while Wright had three goals and two assists for Clarkson, 5-10 overall and 3-5 in the Liberty League.
LaMont scored five goals for Bard, 3-10, 0-7.
Alexandra Clarke added a single goal and
Brianna Bean had an assist.
