Raptors defeated by St. Lawrence in Liberty League game

Joanna Regan scored once, picked up four ground balls and collected six draw controls in Friday's game at St. Lawrence.

CANTON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to St. Lawrence University, 21-4, in a Liberty League game on Friday afternoon.

The Saints (6-6, 4-2 Liberty League) scored five goals in a span of four minutes, 39 seconds after Bard had tied the game at 1-1. St. Lawrence went on to score 14 goals in the first half and cruised to victory.

Freshman Kara Hurley (Plymouth, MA) scored on all four shots she took to lead the winners, who got goals from 12 different players.

Bard (3-9, 0-6 LL) got a goal apiece from Joanna Regan, Stephanie LaMont, Victoria Fleisher and Lizzy Chemel. Brianna Bean added an assist, and Winta Mehari made nine saves.
