Box Score
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - A 15-0 run in the first five minutes of the game, and a 10-0 to start the second half led the William Smith College women's basketball team to a 67-44 victory over Bard College in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.

The Herons (12-2, 5-0 Liberty League) rattled off 15 straight points to take a 15-2 lead just over five minutes into the game. Bard responded with a 14-2 run of its own, and the deficit was 19-16 with 9:02 left in the half.

Unfortunately, William Smith was shooting the ball too well for Bard to keep up. Led by senior Sasha Borenstein (Agoura Hills, CA), the Herons made 55 percent of their first-half shots. Borenstein went 6-for-7 from the field, including 4-for-4 from beyond the three-point line, and had 16 points at the break. William Smith led, 38-23, after 20 minutes.

The Raptors (1-11, 0-3 Liberty League) didn't get within 15 points of the Herons in the second half.

The winners got 19 points from Borenstein and 10 from junior Chloe Hayter (Lititz, PA).

Bard got 10 points and seven rebounds from sophomore Abbey Labrecque. Tytravia Riley added nine points and seven rebounds.

Up next for Bard is a trip to Vassar on Tuesday night for another Liberty League contest. Tip is at 6 p.m. Go to the game or follow it here via Live Stats or Live Video.
