Three Women’s Basketball Student-Athletes named to the 2025-26 Division III Academic All-District Team

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.The Bard College women's basketball team has three 2025-26 Division III Academic All-District honorees, an award that recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom. The student-athletes honored with this award are seniors Aislynn Dixon and Shirley Dong and junior Jessica Martin.

Dixon is majoring in psychology. She started 24 games, averaged the second-most minutes on the team (31.6), scored a season-high 16 points versus Alfred St., and had a career-high five assists at Skidmore. Dixon ranks second in Bard history in three-pointers made in a game (7) and fifth in program history in three-pointers made in a season (41). She is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree.

Dong is majoring in biology. She started all 25 games and hit a three in seven straight games to finish the season. She led the team in points (216), threes made (34) and steals (50). This season, she ranked seventh in the conference in threes made and steals. She finished her career third in school history in career assists, with 205, third in threes made, with 125, and seventh on the Raptors' all-time scoring leaderboard, with 767 points. Dong is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic honoree.

Martin is majoring in biology. She played in all 25 games, starting 10. She scored 30 points against MCLA, hitting a program-record nine three-pointers and earning Liberty League Performer of the Week Honors. Martin's 30 points was the most by any player in the Liberty League this season. She hit multiple threes in eight games, making 33 total, ranking second on the team and eighth in the Liberty League. Martin is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic team honoree.

To be recognized on the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and enrolled full-time with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. The student-athletes must also have competed in 90 percent of the institutions' games or must start in at least 66 percent of games.
