ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team rallied to edge St. Joseph's College of Long Island, 5-4, in a non-league match on Saturday afternoon.

The Raptors (1-1) trailed 2-1 after doubles competition ended and needed to win four of the six singles matches.
Nelle Plotkin prevailed at No. 3,
Lia Soorenian won in straight sets at No. 4, and
Amanda Gan did the same at No. 6.
The match at No. 1 singles, which was headed into a third set, became the tiebreaker in the match. Bard senior
Julia DeFabo lost the first set to St. Joseph senior Nancy Marroquin (Patchogue, NY) 2-6, then tied it up by winning the second set, 6-3.
The third set was tight, but DeFabo prevailed, 6-4, and Bard won its first match of the season.
The Raptors hit the road Sunday for another non-league contest. They'll play at Utica College at 2 p.m.
