SCRANTON, Pa. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to Marywood University, 8-1, in a non-league match on Sunday.

It was the first-ever meeting between the schools.

Bard freshman Albina Muzafarova earned Bard's only win of the afternoon, defeating senior Melissa Hudock (Pitman, NJ) 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Amanda Gan jumped ahead at No. 5 singles, but eventually lost to Rebecca Lukasak (Orwigsburg, PA), 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. Marywood is 6-1.

The Raptors (5-3) will next host Sage on Thursday in a non-league match at 6 p.m.
