TROY, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team defeated previously unbeaten Sage, 6-2, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Raptors, who improved to 2-0, swept the three doubles matches.
Jean Wong and
Julia DeFabo prevailed at No. 1,
Nelle Plotkin and
Anna Gors prevailed at No. 2, and
Beryl Taylor and
Tessa Von Walderdorff won at No. 3.
The match at No. 1 singles wasn't completed because of darkness. Sage's Kirsten Ackerman won the first set over
Jean Wong, 6-0, and it was 3-3 in the second set when the match was called.
DeFabo lost a tough match at No. 2 singles, falling to Mackenzie Riley 4-6, 7-5 (11-9).
Anna Gors,
Amanda Gan and
Beryl Taylor each won at Nos. 4, 5 and 6, respectively, to give Bard the victory. Sage is 5-1.
Bard's next match is on Saturday at home against Sarah Lawrence at 1 p.m.
