POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team was eliminated by 17th-ranked Skidmore College in the first round of the Liberty League Tournament on Friday morning.

Skidmore (11-5), the top seed, swept all three doubles matches, and had won two of the singles matches when the match was called. In postseason play, once a team gets five wins, the match ends. The final score was 5-0 Skidmore.

This was the last match of the season for the Raptors, who finish at 7-7. It was also the last match in the careers of Sofia Commito and Madeline Turner. As freshman, Commito and Turner were part of the Raptors' Skyline Conference championship, and they went to the Skyline finals in their sophomore and junior years.
