Bard defeated by Skidmore at home

Box Score ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to Skidmore, 16-3, in a Liberty League game on Friday afternoon.

The Thoroughbreds (8-6 overall, 3-4 Liberty League) dominated every facet of the game, building a 32-12 edge in shots, a 27-16 advantage in ground balls, and a decided edge in clears. Skidmore went 12-of-14, while Bard went 7-of-22.

The Raptors (5-8 overall, 0-6 Liberty League) struggled with turnovers as well; Skidmore forced 16, while Bard forced three.

The winners were led by senior Lauren Madden (Huntington, NY), who had four goals and one assist, freshman Christy Sutherland (Los Gatos, CA), who had three goals, and sophomore Summer Segalas (Stamford, CT), who had two goals and two assists.

Bard got a goal apiece from freshman Joanna Regan and sophomores Brianna Bean and Victoria Fleisher. Maddy Huggins made eight saves.

Up next for Bard is Senior Day, Saturday, as RPI visits. First draw is at 2 p.m.
