Women's lacrosse team topped by New Paltz

Senior Kim Larie scored in Bard's loss to SUNY New Paltz on Thursday.
Box Score NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to SUNY New Paltz, 16-3, on Thursday afternoon in a non-league game.

The Hawks, 5-7 overall, scored 11 goals in the first 10:20 of the game and cruised the rest of the way.

The winners were led by sophomore Talia Tesler (Rochester, NY), who had three goals and two assists. Freshman Lianne Valdivia (Kingston, NY), sophomore Mariam Ismail (Red Hook, NY), junior Erin Tornatore (Glen Cove, NY) and senior Samantha DelGaudio added two goals apiece. The Hawks next play at SUNY Cortland in a league game on Saturday at 1.

Bard, 5-6 overall, got single goals from Stephanie LaMont, Kim Larie and Reed Mango. Maddy Huggins made eight saves.

Up next for the Raptors is a Liberty League game at home against Vassar College on Tuesday night at 7.
