Box Score GENEVA, N.Y. - On Friday, the Bard College women's lacrosse team gave up four goals in the first four minutes of a loss to Union College.
The Raptors got off to a better start on Saturday when
Joanna Regan scored 80 seconds into a Liberty League game against William Smith College. But that 1-0 lead lasted 34 seconds.
William Smith scored seven goals over a 4:04 span after Regan's goal on the way to a 20-2 victory over Bard. The Herons (3-3 overall, 2-0 Liberty League) led 16-1 at halftime with a 23-6 edge in shots.

Brianna Bean collected three ground balls apiece, and
Maddy Huggins made three saves for Bard.
Senior Lucy Johnson (Short Hills, NJ) and junior Kathleen Ragan (Topsfield, MA) each had four goals and an assist for the Herons. Senior Kathryn Gillan (Brookline, MA) added two goals and an assist.
After the game, Bard headed for Washington, D.C., where the Raptors will spend part of Spring Break seeing the sights there. On Tuesday, they'll play Trinity Washington University at 4 p.m.
They'll resume Liberty League play on Friday and Saturday, with home games against the University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology, respectively.
