Farmingdale State dominates Bard

Box Score KINGSTON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team was defeated by Farmingdale State, 18-1, on Saturday in a Skyline Conference game at Dietz Stadium.

The Rams (3-2 overall, 2-0 Skyline) got six goals and five assists from 5-foot-2 senior co-captain Justine Rothar (Levittown, N.Y.) and five goals from sophomore Emily Williams (Centerport, N.Y.).

Farmingdale State scored 30 seconds into the game and was up, 3-0, when Bard scored its lone goal. Freshman Stephanie LaMont (Skippack, Pa.) scored off a nice run and feed from sophomore Bridget Reddington (Caldwell, N.J.). LaMont has scored in every game so far this season for the Raptors, 1-4 overall, 0-2 in the Skyline Conference.

Farmingdale State accumulated a 35-7 edge in shots and picked up 43 ground balls to Bard's 26.

Bard's next game is on Wednesday against Skyline opponent Sage. The game will be played at RPI in Troy at 4 p.m.
