NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit and had a two-point lead with 5:47 left in the game, but Yeshiva pulled out its only Skyline Conference victory of the season, 63-58, in the season finale for both teams.

After Bard had whittled the deficit and taken the lead, Yeshiva fought back and the game was tied four different times in the second half. When Bard senior Marissa Papatola (St. Paul, MN) made a jumper with 2:17 left, it cut Yeshiva's lead to 59-58.

But Bard didn't score again. On the Raptors next four possessions, they had three turnovers and one missed field goal. They were forced to start fouling, and senior Shir Fuchs (Herzeliya, Israel) made four consecutive free throws in the final 21 seconds to allow Yeshiva to avenge a 50-28 loss to Bard from back in November.

Fuchs led all scorers with 25 points and she played all 40 minutes.

Bard senior Latiqua Williams, playing in her final game, had 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists and a block. Sophomore Ruth Ashebir (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) added 12 points and three steals, and Papatola finished her collegiate career with 10 points, six rebounds and two steals.

Bard finishes the 2010-11 season at 4-21 overall, 1-17 in the Skyline Conference.

Yeshiva is 4-22, 1-17.
