CAMDEN, N.J. - On Saturday, Bard got behind St. Joseph's-Brooklyn by 24 in the second half, rallied, and eventually lost by 11.
On Wednesday night, Bard got behind big early, rallied late, and came up short again. This time it wasn't as close, but the result was the same.
Rutgers-Camden ran out to 46-16 lead and breezed to a non-league win, even after Bard's shooting heated up and made the final score 71-56.

Bard (2-5) shot 4-for-18 from the field in the first half, was losing the rebounding battle (17-13), and Rutgers-Camden was shooting 52 percent from the field at the same time. It was 34-13 at halftime.
About five minutes into the second half, the lead was 30 and the rout was on. Bard freshman Francis Arnold, however, started making three-pointers, and although Bard never got closer than 15 in the second half, Arnold made 6-of-6 threes in the final 20 minutes, scoring 20 of his team-high 22 points.
The Scarlet Raptors (2-4) finished with a 36-27 rebounding advantage and outscored Bard in the paint, 30-6. Senior guard Anthony Solano (Garfield, NJ) led all scorers with 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting.

Alvaro Llanes finished with nine points off the bench in just 11 minutes, making a trio of three-pointers. Freshman
Siondueh Burnette added eight points and six rebounds.
