RECAP: Men’s Basketball falls on the road to RIT

The Bard College men's basketball team could not complete a comeback, as the Raptors fell at RIT on Friday at Clark Gymnasium, 84-58. 

Jalen Umstead and Angelos Bratakos were the only two Raptors who scored double-digit points with Umstead scoring 11 points and Bratakos scoring 10. Bratakos and Bryce Sampah led the team with six rebounds; Sampah's six rebounds is a career-high. Klaudius Skehel tied his career-high of nine points and added two steals. Lucas Tovar contributed with four points, a team-high three assists, three board, and a steal. 

RIT took an early lead, going 6-of-12 from behind the arc. Bard kept things competitive, battling through the opening stretch and staying within reach before RIT gradually built momentum within the last two minutes of the first half. In the second half, Bard kept the fight closer, with a 33-42 scoring difference. The Raptors shot 11-of-20 (55%) from the field and utilized the paint in the second half. 
Bard will look to bounce back in its last game of the season, when they face Hobart at 4 p.m.
