RECAP: Men’s Basketball concludes season at Hobart

Angelos Bratakos scored a career-high 29 points, but the Bard College men's basketball team could not close out the game against Hobart, as they fell to the Statesmen, 75-58 on Saturday afternoon at Bristol Gym.

Bratakos had a career day, shooting 7-of-14 from behind the arc and a team-high six steals. He also grabbed three rebounds and had one assist. Lucas Tovar had a career-high nine assists while grabbing six boards and scoring five points. Azikiwe Cuffy-Scott contributed with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Klaudius Skehel had his first start of the season and added two points and three rebounds, while Seth Dyer grabbed six boards. Bryce Sampah added five points and four rebounds, with two blocks.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle between the two teams, it wasn't until at 20-19 Bard that Hobart went on a 9-1 run to take a 28-21 lead. The Raptors got it back down to one in the 2:13 mark, 30-31, but a 7-3 run at the end gave the Statesmen a five-point lead heading to halftime.

The Raptors came out aggressively at the start of the second half, going on a 10-4 run to take a 43-42 lead. At 46-47 at 13:50, Hobart went on a 9-0 run, which helped carry their momentum and did not let Bard come back.

Bard concludes their 2025-26 season.
