The Liberty League commissioner Tracy King has announced that 412 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's All-Academic Teams in their respective sports. Bard had 25 student-athletes named to the All-Academic team.

To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and enrolled full-time with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30. The Liberty League elevated the GPA requirement from 3.20 to 3.30 in 2016-17 to follow the established standard for eligibility for College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America awards.

"The Liberty League has always taken great pride in the academic success of our student-athletes," said King. "Our student-athletes continue to demonstrate that it is possible to not only excel academically but to achieve athletically at the highest levels in Division III. I congratulate and salute them on their outstanding academic achievements."
