SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost its first match of the season on Sunday with a 9-0 loss to Liberty League powerhouse Skidmore College.

The Thoroughbreds, who finished last season ranked 29th in the country in Div. III, swept all six singles matches without dropping a set, and only lost one game in the three singles matches.

Skidmore is 2-0 overall and in the Liberty League.

Bard is 4-1 overall, 0-1 in the Liberty League. Next up is another league power: Vassar College, at home on Wednesday at 6.
