PATCHOGUE, N.Y. - Against the first-place team in the Skyline Conference, Bard managed just 18 first-half points and was defeated, 84-55, on Saturday at St. Joseph's College.

In the first half, Bard went 4-for-17 from beyond the three-point line, while St. Joseph's went 10-for-21 and the game was effectively over by halftime, as the Eagles held a 49-18 lead.

Bard shot 33 percent from the field while St. Joseph's shot almost 48 percent.

Junior guard Trey Black (Bayport, NY) led all scorers with 21 points, and he added nine rebounds. St. Joseph's is 6-1 in the Skyline Conference, 10-1 overall.

Bard (0-11 overall, 0-6 Skyline) got 17 points and three rebounds from junior Matt Shubert (West Chester, PA). Junior Yonah Greenstein (Rego Park, NY) added 13 points.

Bard hits the road again on Tuesday for a Skyline Conference game at the College of Mount St. Vincent at 8 p.m.
