FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - With 7:29 left in the first half on Saturday, Bard trailed Farmingdale State, 23-22.
Just like on Thursday when the Raptors played Mount Saint Mary, it looked like Bard was going to give another Skyline Conference contender a run for its money.
But Farmingdale State went on a 17-2 run over those final seven minutes of the first half, and Bard never got within 15 points in the second half in an 81-53 loss.
The Rams (10-7 overall, 9-3 Skyline) outrebounded Bard, 53-31, and outscored Bard 36-6 in the paint.
Farmingdale State had four players reach double figures in scoring, including junior Josh Smith (Deer Park, NY), who had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Bard (1-18, 1-13 Skyline) got 14 points from junior
Matt Shubert (West Chester, PA), 11 points and nine rebounds from senior
Christian Marghella (Closter, NJ), and 10 points from junior
Yonah Greenstein (Rego Park, NY).
The Raptors next play on the road Tuesday at Yeshiva University at 8 p.m.
