Cold-shooting Bard defeated on the road

Junior Matt Shubert had a season-high 19 points in a loss to Mount St. Vincent.
RIVERDALE, N.Y. - A 16-0 run over a 4 1/2-minute span in the first half broke open a tie game and led Mount St. Vincent to a 78-49 romp over Bard on Tuesday night.

About three minutes into the game, it was tied, 5-5. Approximately 11 minutes later, it was 31-8 and the rout was on.

Mount St. Vincent (12-2 overall, 7-2 Skyline Conference) dominated on the boards, outrebounding Bard, 47-29.

Junior Matt Shubert (West Chester, PA) has a season-high 19 points for Bard (0-12 overall, 0-7 Skyline) and also led the team with five rebounds.

Sophomore Shaquille Cunningham (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led four Mount St. Vincent players in double figures with 15 points.

Bard hosts NYU-Polytechnic at 8 p.m. on Thursday in another Skyline Conference game.
