FAIRPORT, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team opened the season with a 2-0 loss to St. John Fisher in the first round of the St. John Fisher Tournament.

St. John Fisher striker Amanda Siebert scored just three minutes into the match on a breakaway, and Sarah Bihl made it 2-0 in the 16th minute.

Bard, with seven first-year starters, played with more composure in the second half, but didn't produce any threatening scoring opportunities. The Cardinals outshot the Raptors, 12-3.

Bard, 0-1, will play Old Westbury in the consolation game on Saturday.
