Bard edged by Farmingdale State

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Raptors came up short Saturday against Farmingdale State at home, 63-60.

After getting out to an early 18 point lead in the first half the Rams fought back in the second half to overcome the Raptors. The Raptors were led in the first half by the hot hand of Adam Shear (Seattle, WA), who scored 13 first half points as Bard led 35-21 at the break.

The Rams came out on fire in the second half as Alvin Dennis and Christian Nunez led the attack. Dennis scored around the hoop as Nunez hit from outside. They evened the scored with just over 2 minutes left.

After a Dennis bucket put Farmingdale up by 3, Christian Marghella (Closter, NJ) cut it to one with a putback. After a big Raptor defensive stop senior Justin White (New York, NY) connected on 1 of 2 free throws to even the score.

Despite a feisty defensive stand over the last 35 seconds Nunez hit a deep 3 with under 2 ticks left on the game clock to seal the Raptors fate.

Next up for the Raptors will be senior night Wednesday, February 17 at 7:00 PM at home against Mount Saint Vincent.
