Gallery: (4-22-2026) Baseball vs New Paltz
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College baseball team had a slow start, and New Paltz captured the win on Wednesday afternoon, 1-11.
Bard collected two hits and three walks total.
Micah Liu and
Charlie Beauregard had hits, with Beauregard adding an RBI.
Graham Williams, Liu,
Jack Burcell,
Graham Marshall, and
Cal Anna all reached base, with Williams stealing a base.
Tom Maxwell had the start, striking out one in 1.1 innings.
Henry Hubner performed well, recording five straight outs, two of them strikeouts.
Orlando Shin filled in for 2.1 innings, allowing one earned run.
Elise Berger got two outs on five pitches, and
Angus Lunt-Woodward struck out the side in the seventh on 13 pitches.
New Paltz was shut down in the first inning before scoring nine in the second. Bard started the second inning with a leadoff baserunner, but three straight outs followed. A 1-2-3 top half of the third was a good sign for Bard, which also blanked the Hawks in the fourth.
The Hawks added a run in the fifth before Bard plated a run in the bottom half. Williams walked with one out, followed by a single from Liu. Marshall also reached to load the bases. Beauregard picked up an RBI on a fielder's choice. New Paltz had its 11th run in the sixth inning, and the pitching held off Bard for the final two innings to preserve the win.
The Raptors travel to RPI on Friday at 4 p.m.
