ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y — The Bard College men's volleyball team drops home game against Kean on Wednesday night at Stevenson Athletic Center, 3-0.
Bard had two Raptors in double figures, with
Ansel Waisler leading the team with 14 digs, while
Sidney Stein had 11 kills, hitting .320. Stein also added 10 digs, which gave him his 4th double-double of the season.
Pearse Esposito led the team with 14 assists, six digs, and four kills, while
Georgi Chikolov contributed with six digs.
Zach Butler added three kills and three block assists.
Kean started strong early, going on a 7-2 run. Bard caught up and got within one point, 14-13. Halfway through the first set, the Raptors and Cougars were going back and forth, but a lead of two points for Kean pushed them into winning the first set.
The second set had the Raptors taking a 4-1 lead, but Kean went on an 18-4 run to take a 19-8 lead. The Courgars closed out the set, hitting .308. The third set was back and forth between the two teams. At 12-11, Kean went on a 14-4 run to close out the set.
Bard will take on Endicott on Saturday at 4 p.m.
