Bard 3, Curry 2

The Raptors took the first set on the back of an 11-7 start. Curry threatened, leading at 21-20 after a 14-9 surge. However, Bard won five of the last seven points in a clutch performance. In the second set, Bard started out with a four-point advantage, aided by back-to-back aces from Esposito to begin the frame. Curry tied it four times at 5-5, 11-11, 12-12, and 15-15 before getting over the hump momentarily at 16-15. The Raptors gritted it out from there, winning 10 of the final 16 points. Bard hit above .240 in each of the first two sets.

The Colonels did not give up, and they won the third set after a 16-7 start. Bard rallied to get within four at 20-16, but Curry forced a fourth set. In the fourth, Bard had a 4-2 lead when Curry went on a 12-5 run to take a five-point lead at 14-9. The Raptors took three straight points, bookended by kills from Waisler, but Curry won the final 19 points 11-8 to bring the match into a decider.

The fifth set was heavily contested early on, with neither team leading by more than two up until 7-6 Bard. The Raptors created some separation with three straight points, two of which coming from Stein's back-to-back aces to make 10-6. The next seven points were all won on return, until Curry broke the streak to make it 11-13. The final two points went to the Raptors, allowing them to escape with their first conference win of the season.

Bard 3, Gallaudet 0

The Raptors got ahead 7-1 in the first set to force a Gallaudet timeout. The ride had some turbulence, as the Bison got within three at 10-7. However, Bard bounced back and went on a 15-9 run to take the opener. Stein was impressive with five kills in the set. Overall, Bard hit .407 with 13 kills and just two errors.

In the second set, Bard attempted to come from behind after Gallaudet went ahead 14-11. The Raptors had an 11-7 run to go ahead by one at 22-21. After a Bison timeout, Stein hit back-to-back kills and finished the set with a block along with Butler.

A strong start from the Raptors allowed them to take a 9-4 lead. Four straight points from Gallaudet made it a one-point game at 9-8. At 13-12, Bard took eight of the next nine points to take a dominant 21-13 lead. The Raptors held off the Bison to complete the sweep.
