Gallery: (4-18-2025) Men's & Women's Tennis vs RIT

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard women's tennis team was met by a high-level RIT team on Friday afternoon.

RIT needed only one win in doubles since Bard had to forfeit No. 3 doubles. Maya Kelly and Paige Houghton were the final duo to finish at No. 1 doubles.

Kelly played at No. 1 singles and faced a tough Tiger opponent. At No. 2 singles, Houghton faced a tricky RIT opponent. She moved to 1-1 against the Tigers in singles, as she won a three-setter in 2023.

At No. 3 singles, Victoria Bagatcholon also tried to follow up on her 2023 victory against RIT. She attempted to withstand pressure by getting deep shot in the court, but the Tigers did not miss many shots from a neutral position. At No. 4 singles, Patricia Santos earned a game after capitalizing on repeated errors by RIT in the late stages.

Jesse Radzik continued to build her reputation as a fighter at No. 5 singles, winning two games in the second set but ultimately falling to her opponent. At No. 6 singles, Lisa Kyrtoka made it difficult for her opponent, as she won a game in the first set with a mix of deep groundstrokes and short angled shots, but ultimately fell short of victory.

Bard will travel to RPI on Tuesday at 4 p.m. for its final away match.
