The Bard College women's soccer team (2-5-1, 0-2 Liberty League) dropped its Saturday afternoon Liberty League match against Ithaca (6-0-3, 1-0 Liberty League) at Carp Wood Field.
Ithaca took an early lead after three minutes of play. Still, Bard had an opportunity to tie the game with a breakaway shot by
Alexandria Loner near the 11th minute but was stopped by Bombers goalkeeper Grace Hickey. At halftime, the Bombers took a 3-0 lead.
Ithaca continued its attack in the second half, scoring four additional goals.
The Raptors' best stretch in the half was a 20 minute period of shutout soccer starting at the 63rd minute, when Ithaca was limited to one corner.
McKenna Reeves saved three shots during this time period.
Senior goalkeeper,
Seymone Rosenberg, recorded ten saves.
McKenna Reeves came in for 25 minutes of action and picked up the three aforementioned saves.
Bard continues to be on the road, taking on RIT on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
