Jack Keelan won the 800 meters as the Bard College track and field team closed out the Liberty League Championships at Harkness Field on Saturday.
Keelan smashed his school record for the second time this year and won his fifth consecutive 800-meter race with a time of 1:51.20. His time was also a meet record and ranks him 25th in the NCAA Div. III Outdoor qualifying list. Keelan becomes the third Raptor to win an individual event at the Liberty League Championships and the first since Garrett Clifton in 2016.
The quartet of
Able Bloodgood,
Elijah Flynn,
Jack Keelan, and
Oliver Pawelek ran a season-best in the 4x400 relay.
Chloe Desautels,
Mieke Matteson,
Hawra Moochhala, and
Camila Sandaal also ran a season-best in the 4x400 relay.
Both teams conclude their competition this season, while Keelan qualified for the regional in 800m and will head to Cortland for the AARTFC Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, May 15.
